Choose NJ 2023 Annual Report Shows Increased in Company Growth
According to Chose NJ, New Jersey’s leading nonprofit business attraction organization, 2023 marked historic expansion for the organization. This past year, Choose New Jersey assisted 37 companies in relocating or expanding to New Jersey, resulting in 5,080 new and retained jobs and generating over $2.3 billion in capital investments. Since its founding in 2010, Choose New Jersey’s efforts have helped more than 420 companies, generating $11 billion in capital investments, which created and retained nearly 49,000 jobs in the state. CNBC named New Jersey, the most improved state in American for business.
Choose New Jersey’s 2023 campaign, “This Is New Jersey,” uses images and messaging that showcase New Jersey as a great place to live, work, and grow a business. The campaign was featured on billboards, transit ads, taxi tops, car wraps, and digital and social ads. Funded by state grants totaling $10 million, the campaign achieved 4.3 billion impressions, nearly tripling the 2022 results.
The work that Choose New Jersey has done in 2023 will propel the organization to an exciting future. The recent announcement that New Jersey will host the 2026 World Cup final — which will be held at MetLife Stadium — is evidence of this, as Choose New Jersey was instrumental in helping to pitch the State for this honor. Our expanding footprint and reach will allow us to increase output, attract more businesses to the state, and demonstrate to the world why New Jersey is the best place to start or expand a business.
