Community Beach Clean UP Event Scheduled for LBI May 4

The Van Dyk Group has partnered with Lehigh in Action for morning of impact

Lehigh University and The Van Dyk Group are proud to announce, "Lehigh in Action on Long Beach Island," a community-focused beach clean-up event hosted by Deidre Martin, The Van Dyk Group real estate agent and Lehigh Class of 2006 alumna. This event invites members of the Lehigh community and local residents to join hands in preserving the beauty of LBI’s shorelines ahead of the summer season, On Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. participants will gather at The Van Dyk Group’s LBI Office, 12800 Long Beach Boulevard, Beach Haven Terrace, to clean up the beach. Attendees will have the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and contribute to creating a cleaner, more sustainable environment for all. Lehigh in Action kicks off with a light breakfast provided by The Van Dyk Group to fuel volunteers for the morning's activities. Restrooms will be available onsite and essential supplies including trash bags, gloves, and hand sanitizer will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring buckets and gloves for trash and recycling collection. The event is suitable for ages 13 and up, fostering a family-friendly environment for all who wish to participate.

"We are thrilled to join forces with local organization, Alliance for a Living Ocean (ALO), for this beach clean-up initiative. Events like “Lehigh in Action on Long Beach Island” strengthen our bonds as a community and demonstrate our collective commitment to environmental stewardship," said Deidre Martin. Those interested in attending "Lehigh in Action on Long Beach Island" are encouraged to register by Monday, April 29, 2024. Comfortable, casual attire and closed-toe footwear recommended.
