Spooky Season Arrives in the LBI Region

A calendar full of fun and frights await at this Coastal Destinaton

The legendary Pinelands, historic downtowns, and solitary beaches set the tone for the fun and frights, as the Long Beach Island region of New Jersey embraces Halloween-related events. The Southern Ocean Chamber has assembled a list of the top events that are happening in October 2023. Perfect for friends, and families to make the most of the coast with spirituality shops, dining, and unique activities.

Friday the 13th  Fright Festival at A Sweet Memory Cake Shoppe & Tea Room  - Calling all ghosts and ghouls for something of all ages including a haunted trail and vendor village 5-10 pm 521 Rt 9 Waretown

Celebrate Oktoberfest at the Surf City Hotel on Saturday, October 14

Halloween Fun Fest at Fantasy Island - Calling all ghouls and goblins – dates for the Annual Halloween Fun Fest are now available. Tickets are now on sale.  Costume Contest, Trick or Treating in Park, DJ and more happening Friday, October 13: 5 pm - 9 pm, Saturday, October 14, 11 am - 3 pm, Sunday, October 15, 12 - 4 pm. October 20 Ship Bottom Police Dept hosting a Trunk or Treat at Municipal Boat Ramp 4-6 pm

October 20 - Tuckerton Seaport - Trick or Treat Around the Boardwalk - Join the Tuckerton Seaport Crew for trick-or-treating around the Boardwalk at the Seaport on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 4pm to 6pm. This family-friendly event is open to trick-or-treaters of all ages. Costumes are welcomed (please leave masks and props at home for everyone's safety as well as pets). Guests will be given a Halloween Treat Bag as they enter and then will visit stations along the boardwalk for more fun and games, plus candy of course! Bring your own camera for family fall phot ops!This community event is free of charge and co-sponsored by the Tuckerton Pride & Celebration Committee

Oct 20-31 Legends & Lore Boat Tour Special Halloween Themed Family Friendly Boat Rides - Includes photo ops and make and take crafts for kids Tickets $15 online at Tuckerton Seaport 

Operation Halloween October 20 & 21  Terror in the Pines fundraiser presented by Rotary Clubs of Ocean County and the Boy Scouts of the Jersey Shore Council held 4-10 p.m. at the Citta Scout Reservation in Brookville. Activities include a Hay Maze, a non-scary hayride and scary haunted walk, pumpkin painting, inflatables, consumed characters, and a zombie outbreak maze.

October 28 - Trick or Treat Day at Schooner's Wharf & Bay Village for trick or treating fun! 12pm - 4pm

October 28- LBI Historic Association Ghost Fest in the Haunted Museum for an afternoon tricks and treats 12-4 pm R 129 Engleside Avenue, Beach Haven 

October 28th – Saturday: Bonfire & Storytelling - 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Barnegat Lighthouse State Park, sponsored by the Borough of Barnegat Light & Ocean County Parks, there will be a bonfire & storytelling with Robin Moore, bring your own chairs &/or blankets
