Southern Ocean Women in Business Head to LBI Foundation

September Meeting recognizes 75 years of the organizational success

The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce and Southern Ocean Chamber Association celebrates fall with their popular Women in Business Roundtable on Tuesday, September 26 starting at 10am. The gathering will take place at the iconic Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences. Attendees will learn the story of its unique founder and how the mission has evolved to today.

Historians will share the story of Boris Blai, a sculptor and student of Auguste Rodin, and the founding of this unique organization. Following this incredible walk back to 1948, current Executive Director Daniella Kerner will provide an overview of how this beloved organization has evolved and continues to stay true to the original vision of its founder. An art exhibition is on display in the main gallery, and attendees are encouraged to take it all in.  Breakfast and coffee/tea/juice will be provided.

The Women in Business Roundtable is part of the Southern Ocean Chamber's Open for Business program. It is the goal of this to provide women who are doing business in the community with supportive network of peers. There is no fee if you RSVP to the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce office. The Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences has been devoted to bringing arts and sciences programming to LBI and the surrounding community, attendees will network among this iconic facility on the marsh and learn the story of its unique founder and how the mission has evolved to today.
