Secure the Shore! Hometown Security Seminar June 7

Hometown Security


In partnership with event host Stafford Township EMS, the Southern Ocean County Chamber welcomes businesses and volunteer organizations to attend the June 7 free event that brings local, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies directly to our region to discuss threats, vulnerability and safety measures for welcoming crowds and protecting staff during the upcoming summer season. This is the 7th annual Hometown Security Seminar, which is a collaborative effort to provide the most timely, trusted resource regarding current threat landscapes and misinformation. This event will focus on the current threat landscape to include Houses of Worship, Non profit Security Grant Program, target and facility self assessment tools. The event will located at Stafford EMS 365 East Bay Avenue Manahawkin, beginning at 10am.


Featured speaker this year will be Supervisory Senior Resident Agent Jessica Weisman has been a Special
Agent with the FBI for 25 years. She currently overseas the FBI Newark’s Atlantic City Resident Agency
and is a squad supervisor, which primarily investigates complex financial crimes, public corruption, health
care fraud, civil rights/hate crimes and color of law violations. SA Weisman has extensive experience in
undercover matters involving, law enforcement and political corruption, anti-trust and bid rigging schemes,
securities fraud, organized crime, bankruptcy fraud, human organ trafficking, domestic terrorism, hate
crimes and Mexican Drug Cartel organizations. SSRA Weisman has been the coordinator for multiple task
forces made up of Federal, State and local agencies, including the FBI’s Atlantic City Public Corruption
Task Force, and the Atlantic City Casino Money Laundering Task Force and is responsible for creating
multiple task forces and working groups.


There is no cost for business and community representatives to attend, but an RSVP to the Southern Ocean
